Will of
William Robert Gawn of Maungawera, Otago
This is the last
Will and Testament of me William Robert Gawn of Maungawera
in the provincial District of Otago and Dominion of New
Zealand, sheep farmer.
I revoke all
Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me
and declare this to be my last Will.
I appoint the
perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand
Limited (herinafter referred to as “my Trustee”) Executor
and Trustee of this my Will.
I give and
bequeath to my son Alexander Robert Gawn my gold watch and
chain.
I declare that
the piano which may be at my homestead at Maungawera
aforesaid and all furniture which my daughter Mabel Gawn may
have taken away therefrom are the absolute property of my
said daughter and have already been given to her.
I give devise and
bequeath to my said daughter Mabel Gawn any house property
not at Maungawera aforesaid in which I may be living at the
time of my death and all the furniture and effects therein
belonging to me free of all encumbrances.
I give devise and
bequeath until my son Connell Gawn absolutely the rest and
residue of my property of whatsoever kind and wheresoever
situate charged with the payment of all my just debts
funeral and testamentary expenses, any mortgage on any
property passing under clause 5 hereof and the cost of the
expenses of carrying out the provisions of this my last Will
and also charged with the payment to my said daughter Mabel
Gawn of an annuity of Two Hundred Pounds (£200) a year
during her life such annuity to be paid to her by equal
monthly payments the first of which shall be paid to her one
month from the date of my death.
I hereby express
my desire and direction that my body be disposed of by
cremation instead of by earth burial.
I declare that
the rates of remuneration to which my Trustee shall be
entitled shall be those fixed by the Directors of the
Perpetual Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand Limited
on the Twentieth day of April One thousand nine hundred
and forty-eight.

of April One thousand nine hundred and fifty one.
