Full Abstract:
The Will of James Ramsey late of Ballyclaverty County Antrim Farmer deceased who died 30 November 1870 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oath of Patrick Ramsey of Ballyclaverty (Parkgate) aforesaid Farmer the surviving Executor.

Will of James Ramsey, Ballyclaverty

In the name of God Amen I James Ramsey of Ballyclaverty in the county of Antrim farmer do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give leave and devise to my brother John Ramsey and to his heirs and assigns my farm of land situate in the Townland of Ballybracken which I hold for a term of three lives renewable forever. I leave and bequeath to my wife Sarah Ramsey otherwise McConnell a sum of twenty pounds sterling, to my son William Ramsey a sum of one hundred pounds sterling and to my daughter Mary Ramsey a sum of twenty pounds sterling and I direct that the legacies to my said son and daughter shall be paid at such time or times or applied for the use and benefit of my said children in such manner as my executors shall deem most advisable and in case my said two children or either of them shall happen to die before arriving at the age of twenty-one years then I leave the said legacies or the legacy of to one so dying as the case may be or such part or parts thereof as the case may be (if any) as shall be then remaining in the hands of my executors to my brother Patrick Ramsey. I leave and bequeath to my sister Mary wife of John Smyth of Holestone a sum of one hundred pounds sterling and I order and direct that the sum shall be paid to my said sister upon her own sole and separate receipt  notwithstanding her coverture and that it shall be at her own absolute disposal and free from the control of her present or any future husband. As tp all the rest residue and remainder of my property of what nature or kind so ever or wheresoever  situated which I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease I leave advise and bequeath the same to my said brother Patrick Ramsey his heirs executors administrators and assigns subject however to payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses debts and several legacies hereintofore mentioned and I appoint my said brother Patrick Ramsey and James Ballah of Ballyvoy in the said County of Antrim Executors of this my last will and testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty-eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

 Signed sealed published and declared by the said James Ramsey as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in presence of each other here present subscribed our names as witnesses.  William Simpson ---- Robert Wilson Simpson.

 The last will and testament of James Ramsey late of Ballyclaverty in the county of Antrim farmer deceased was proved in common form of Law and Probate thereof Granted by Her Majesty's Court of Probate in Ireland in the District Registry of Belfast to Patrick Ramsey of Ballyclaverty aforesaid farmer the surviving Executor in sais will he being first sworn.
