Will of Thomas Gawn, Halftown

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Gawn of Halftown parish of Donegore and County of Antrim Farmer do make this my last Will as follows. I leave to my son John the sum of One Hundred pounds. I leave to my son William Sam, One Hundred and fifty pounds. I leave to my daughter Margaret the sum of One hundred and seventy pounds. I leave to my daughter Sarah Mary the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds. I leave to my son Andrew all my farm of land and premises in the Halftown. I also leave to my son Andrew all my stock, crop, and farming implements But I leave a yearly annuity on my farm of Ten cwt. of potatoes, five cwt. of oaten meal, one ton coals to be provided by my son Andrew and delivered to my two daughters free of charge. I also leave the use of the house William Sam works in to my two daughters, my son Andrew to put it in tenantable repair and keep it in tenantable repair as long as they may require it free of charge but in case one of my daughters marry she shall give up her claim to the annuity but the unmarried one shall receive both their claims of the annuity but if they both marry then all their claims of the annuity and house cease. In case it shall happen that my son Andrew shall die without leaving any children or child surviving him then my said farm of land shall upon his decease go to my son John with paying fifty pounds each to each of his surviving sisters and brother and subject to such of the charges which I have left thereon as may be then subsisting but if John shall die before Andrew then in such case Andrew shall be at liberty to leave or dispose of said farm as he may think fit. I appoint my brother William Gawn of Halftown and my son Andrew Gawn Executors of this my last Will and Testament and revoke all wills heretofore made by me in writings whereof. I have hereunto subscribed my name. This March 7th, 1882.
