Note:  

The information above was what was recorded in the family Bible belonging to Francis McMeekin Gawn.    However the recent finding of Robert Vincent's birth records reveal that he was the son of Julia Mary Kennedy and Robert Gardner.  Official records also show that Julia Mary married Francis McMeekin Gawn on 29th August 1877, not 1874 as shown on the first page of the Bible. Robert Vincent was brought up by Julia and Francis as a Gawn and it is unlikely that even the younger members of the family were aware of this.  I have changed the marriage date accordingly.
