Wednesday's meeting of the Benevolent Trustees was attended by Messrs R. M. Clark (chairman), J. Thomson, "W. Burnett, W. T. Talboys. R. Wilson, A. Tapper, and J. Green. Accounts amounting- to £316 12s 8d were passed for payment. The death in the institution of George Gawn. aged 43 years, was reported. The return of outdoor relief cases for April showed 139 men, 218 women, and 538 children, at a cost of £100 10s per week, the return for the corresponding month of last year showing 133 men, 233 women, and 558 children, at a cost of £108 19s per week.
