at Belfast to Andrew Gawn and Thomas John
McConnell Farmers.
Will
of David Gawn, Halftown died 5th November 1906
In
the name of God Amen I David Gawn of Halftown Ballyclaverty
in the County of Antrim farmer do make this my last Will and
Testament as follows hereby revoking all wills at any time
heretofore made by me. I appoint mu nephew Andrew Gawn (son
of my late brother Thomas Gawn) and my nephew Thomas John
McConnell of Ballywee, farmer to be the Executors of this my
will. I direct that my executors shall call in and realize
all monies due and owing to me and out of the pounds thereof
and of any ready monies in hands at the time of my decease
that they pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts
and also the following legacies, viz:- To my nephew Andrew
Gawn (son of my brother James Gawn) the sum of fifty pounds
and to his brother James David Gawn the sum of Twenty five
pounds and to his sister Eliza Mary O'Neill otherwise Gawn
the sum of Twenty five pounds. To my nephews Thomas Bell
and David Bell sons of John Bell the sum of fifty pounds
each and to their sister Martha Jane Bell the sum of Fifty
pounds. To my nephew William David Gawn (son of my late
brother John) the sum of fifty pounds and to his sister
Sarah Mary O'Neill the sum of fifty pounds. To Margaret
Gawn, Sarah Mary Gawn and William Samuel Gawn children of my
late brother Thomas the sum of fifty pounds each To my
nephew Thomas John McConnell and his sister Isabella
Kirkwood otherwise McConnell children of my late sister
Nancy the sum of twenty five pounds each. To my nephew
Andrew Gawn (son of my late brother Thomas Gawn) I leave
devise absolutely all my estate and interest in the freehold
farm in Halftown, Ballyclaverty purchased from the late Earl
Cairns subject to payment there out to his brother John Gawn
at present residing in New Zealand of the sum of one hundred
pounds and also subject to payment there out to his sister
Margaret Gawn so long as she remains unmarried and no longer
of the annual fee of two pounds and also subject to the
right of his sisters Margaret and Sarah Mary to have the use
so long only as they respectively remain unmarried of the
dwelling house on said farm free of all rents and rates. The
said dwelling house to be kept in good condition and repair
by my said nephew Andrew Gawn. All the residue and remainder
of my property estate and effects of every kind which I may
possess or over which I may have disposing power at my
decease I leave to my said niece Margaret Gawn (daughter of
my brother Thomas) absolutely. In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of December one
thousand eight hundred and ninety six.
